Eximius 1: A One‑Off Hybrid Reimagined

Karma Automotive introduced the Eximius 1 at the Concours at Wynn in Las Vegas, marking the debut of its new Eximius personalization program. The program promises customers the ability to modify bodywork, powertrain and performance components, with a limit of nine bespoke vehicles per production model.

The Eximius 1 is built on the Revero platform but replaces the Revero’s turbocharged three‑cylinder generator with a 6.2‑liter V‑8. Combined with the series‑hybrid system, the powertrain delivers a claimed 1,195 horsepower—more than 600 hp above the standard Revero.

Performance Figures and Track‑Ready Hardware

Karma states the Eximius 1 can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 mph. To manage the increased performance, the car is equipped with carbon‑ceramic, two‑piece slotted brake rotors and Öhlins semi‑active dampers. The wheel package consists of 21‑inch magnesium center‑lock wheels.

Aerodynamics and Carbon‑Fiber Styling

The Eximius 1’s body is heavily carbon‑fiber‑laden. Visible carbon‑fiber panels appear on the front fenders, while the front doors feature a blue paint that fades into a carbon weave. The aerodynamic kit includes a carbon front splitter, large air intakes with integrated LED lines that form an arrow when lit, and two narrow nostrils beside the headlights.

Additional vents are cut into the fenders to relieve wheel‑well pressure, and a rear‑facing panel marked with the number 5 extracts brake heat. A billet‑aluminum exhaust tip, a rear fin near the doors, a massive diffuser and a towering wing complete the track‑focused silhouette.

Interior Appointments

Inside, the cabin is swathed in blue‑tinted carbon‑fiber on the seats, steering wheel, center console, doors and dashboard. Recaro bucket seats are upholstered in blue Alcantara on the bottom, blue leather on the sides and a “Moondust” Alcantara hue on the top. Pedals and the dead‑foot rest are machined from billet aluminum, and the console is pared down to essential controls, including a red emergency kill switch.

Eximius Program and Future Deliveries

Karma’s Eximius program will let owners request bespoke changes to existing models, with a cap of nine custom builds per series. The Eximius 1 is the first of these, and Karma has scheduled delivery to its buyer for 2027.

While Karma’s heritage traces back to the Fisker Karma lineage, the Eximius 1 represents a dramatic departure from the brand’s usual plug‑in hybrid sedans, aiming squarely at the track‑oriented, ultra‑personalized niche.
