Harry Styles Wraps 30‑Night MSG Residency with “Harryween” Costumes and Knicks Captain’s Surprise

The pop star closed his record‑setting Madison Square Garden run with two themed shows, Elvis and Pizza Rat outfits, and a banner presentation from Jalen Brunson.
Final “Harryween” Night: Elvis Meets Pizza Rat
Harry Styles concluded his 30‑night Madison Square Garden residency with two consecutive “Harryween” concerts over the weekend. On Friday, the singer appeared in a 1970s‑era Elvis Presley costume, while his band members donned outfits modeled after his own Coachella, Met Gala and Grammy appearances.
During the same show, Styles joked that the stage theme was “favorite sequined king” and later thanked the audience for treating him as part of that group. For the encore, he returned to his 2010 “X‑Factor” audition attire to perform Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely,” the performance that helped secure his spot in One Direction fifteen years earlier.
Saturday’s Full‑City Tribute
The second night was billed as an homage to New York City. The band opened the set dressed as local icons such as the Statue of Liberty, Andy Warhol and Anna Wintour. Styles then emerged as “Pizza Rat,” a reference to the 2015 meme of a rat hauling a pizza slice down a subway stairwell.
In a nod to the city’s musical heritage, he delivered a cover of Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer” before returning to his standard setlist.
Jalen Brunson’s Banner Presentation
New York Knicks captain Jalen Brunson took the stage to hand Styles a banner commemorating the record‑breaking residency. Brunson said, “I just wanted to appear and congratulate you on your 30th night,” adding that Styles had previously joined him and his team on a Knicks banner night.
Residency Highlights and Fan Engagement
Throughout the nine‑week run, fans spotted Styles on the Williamsburg Bridge and at various fan‑organized events, including One Direction karaoke and a post‑Harryween bar crawl. Tour sponsor AmEx operated pop‑up shops in lower Manhattan for the entire residency and, midway through, selected ten fans to hear the song “Together, Together” live for the first time.
Closing Remarks and Future Plans
At the end of the final concert, Styles thanked the audience, saying, “You’ve been wonderful tonight — you’ve been wonderful every night… When I wrote this album, I wanted it to feel exactly like this.” He noted that the “Together, Together” tour will head to Australia later this month, resume in the United States in April 2027, and finish with three shows at Wembley Stadium in August.
