Jake Paul’s comeback scheduled for Christmas Eve

Jake Paul will step back into the ring on 24 December in Dubai, marking his first fight since a loss to Anthony Joshua.

The 29‑year‑old influencer suffered significant injuries in the December 2025 heavyweight bout, requiring two titanium plates and the removal of several teeth after Joshua broke his jaw.

In May, Paul said his boxing future was “most definitely” in doubt, but he now says he is “hungrier than ever.”

He will headline a Dubai card on Christmas Eve, with several names reportedly being considered for his opponent.

Potential opponent: Former UFC fighter Darren Till is among the names being discussed, according to MVP co‑founder Nakisa Bidarian.

Till, 33, last fought in the UFC in 2022 and made his boxing debut in 2025, defeating Luke Rockhold in his sole professional bout.

Since then, Till has competed in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, beating Yoel Romero in September.

Paul’s professional record stands at 12 wins and 2 losses; his defeats came at the hands of Tommy Fury and Anthony Joshua. He previously earned a spot in the WBA’s cruiserweight rankings after beating former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in July 2025, but lost that ranking in January following the Joshua loss.

Bidarian added, “We’re finalising an opponent worthy of Jake’s return and look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.”

Paul concluded his announcement with a festive note, saying, “Merry Christmas, Dubai. Santa Paul is coming to town, and somebody’s getting knocked out.”
