Bitcoin slipped to $80,161.62, down 1.4% to roughly $80,100 on Thursday after briefly dipping to $79,600 before finding buying interest.

The broader crypto market fell harder, with ether sliding to $2,324.46, a 1.7% loss, and the CoinDesk Memecoin Index dropping 3.4%.

Equity market pressure

South Korea’s Kospi index led the sell‑off, falling 1.2% as Samsung Electronics shares dropped 4% despite reporting a record quarterly profit; investors were disappointed by the chipmaker’s approach to shareholder returns.

Nasdaq‑100 futures slipped 1.1% after Alphabet reported earnings that missed analysts’ expectations.

Federal Reserve signals

The Federal Reserve kept interest rates steady on Wednesday, but two officials dissented, favoring a quarter‑point increase. Chair Kevin Warsh did not indicate the policy path for the December meeting, and the September PCE inflation report, the Fed’s preferred price gauge, is still pending.

Crypto fund flows

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $137 million on Wednesday, marking a third consecutive day of net inflows. Over the three‑day period, total inflows reached $423.7 million, according to Farside Investors.

Tokenized equities

Tokenized equities are emerging through both issuer‑sponsored and non‑issuer models. In issuer‑sponsored structures, the token represents the share itself, preserving full control and rights for holders.

Overall, the combination of mixed corporate earnings, Fed dissent and continued investor interest in Bitcoin ETFs shaped a volatile trading day across both crypto and traditional markets.
